Tune of the Week
WillBailyPianoTunes.com is now offering a "Tune of the Week". Every Monday morning piano teachers and piano students will wake up to a new motivating piece to start their week. This can be found on the "Tunes" page of the website. Also, check out our new payment plan - $5 a month for unlimited PDF downloads and unlimited Mp3 and MIDI sound file downloads. (Also, still available is the $30 a year payment option - breaks down to $2.50 a month.) Check out the "Tutorial" page for quick ways to teach pop tunes with chords and ideas for improvisation. Good morning, Will. Thanks for the new Tune today! Which Tunes are best for beginning students?
ReplyDeleteHi Chris, We start all our classes with Way Cool Keyboarding 4 Kids (7-11), Way Cool Keyboarding (pre-teens and teens) and Musical Moments (adults). The tunes in WillBailyPianoTunes.com were written to be used as supplemental to these courses and for "what comes next." Look at the tunes from a "what concepts are being covered here?" standpoint. In other words, take a look at "Forbidden City" on the home page - students would be ready for this at the end of Way Cool Keyboarding 4 Kids book 1, in the middle of Way Cool Keyboarding I (teens), and in Musical Moments book 2 (adults). I've used this with my adult classes that have finished all of Musical Moments and they have enjoyed sight-reading and orchestrating this duet with a variety of voices. Have fun, Chris!
